The Thine Parking Spot Is Attacking Me Offensive

Oy vey. There’s nothing worse than your coworker’s parking space trying to proselytize you while simultaneously reminding you of atrocities that probably didn’t directly affect your family (but your parents told you about before bed just to give you nightmares).

Except when it’s not and you are just looking for a reason to be offended.

From Fox News:

Florida high school employee complains about Bible verse on co-worker’s parking space: ‘It’s attacking me’

An instructional assistant at a Florida high school has reportedly complained about her co-worker’s parking space that quotes a verse from the New Testament, saying it offends her as Jewish person.

Marina Gentilesco, who works at Wiregrass Ranch High School in Pasco County, Florida, said she has been angered every day she passed by her co-worker’s parking spot that is painted with Philippians 4:13, which reads, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me,” according to local Fox affiliate Fox 59.

“I feel like it’s attacking me as a Jew,” she said, according to the outlet.

Gentilesco, whose parents told her stories of the Holocaust, said the quote from an epistle of St. Paul brings back painful memories.

Look, we all know how awful the holocaust was but at some point you have to move on and let things go. The same way Christians have learned to forgive the Jews for killing their savior. Well at least some of them have, but still.

There’s an old Jewish saying, “Never kiss an ugly girl; she will tell everyone”.

What does that have to do with this story? Absolutely nothing but it is pretty damn funny and maybe it will give Miss Gentilesco something else to be offended over.
